Nydia was drawn to the idea of wild, blossoming branches for their ceremony—something airy and organic, with a pop of color to brighten the room. Since spring branches like forsythia and mimosa weren’t in season, we ran multiple tests and sourcing trips to recreate a similar feel.
The Inspiration
Nydia and Yaric were incredibly trusting throughout the process—rather than fixating on specific flowers, they gave us the freedom to experiment and explore. This allowed us to thoughtfully source ingredients that brought their vision to life while staying within budget.
In the end, we removed leaves from smilax vines by hand to form the base of the installation and layered in clusters of oncidium orchids nestled throughout the structure.
The Result
The Reception
Continuing the naturalistic aesthetic of the day, dancing autumnal branches adorned the dinner tables, bringing movement and warmth to the space.
