Naturalistic, Refined Rustic, Vintage-Inspired

Emma & Julian

For Emma and Julian’s Yountville wedding, florals took center stage—soft, textural, and inspired by the romance of old-world gardens. Vintage influences and time-honored traditions guided the design, resulting in arrangements rich in seasonal blooms, natural movement, and subtle variation.

Personal flowers designed with layered garden roses and delicate orchids, highlighting soft movement, nuanced textures, and a timeless garden-style aesthetic

The aisle featured a naturalistic, contemporary interpretation of aisle florals, inspired by perennial gardens, California landscapes, and lush, untamed botanicals. A site visit informed the design, allowing us to study the existing plant life and thoughtfully incorporate elements from the venue for a cohesive, grounded look.

For the chuppah, the gazebo was transformed into a verdant oasis inspired by untamed vines, climbing roses, blooms reaching toward the sun, and the serene beauty of water lily ponds.

As guests transitioned into cocktail hour, they were welcomed into a space inspired by the deep tones of antique furniture and the serene presence of towering trees. The design featured oncidium orchid plants, sculptural begonia leaves, and textured ceramic vessels, with floating blooms set in water to echo the ceremony design.

The reception showcased naturalistic centerpieces characterized by organic movement, rich textures, and a pop of color. Inspired by the beauty of blooms gathered from multiple garden spaces, each arrangement was thoughtfully composed in curated vessels and paired with candles to create warmth and intimacy. By varying heights, shapes, and compositions, the florals invited the eye to wander, adding depth and visual interest to every table.

We sourced several unique varieties from local farms, including Mexican hats, button bush, and the delicate Phlox ‘Whipped Cream.’

The Welcome Dinner

Emma & Julian’s welcome dinner was accompanied by the best of local summer blooms—dahlias and Sally Holmes roses—bringing all the warmth and abundance of the season.
